Welcome
to our parish web-site.
We would like you to feel at home here. If you experienced any
difficulties with this site - navigation problems, broken links
or whatever, please email our webmaster at the above address.
As our parish grows in faith, unity and community, we recognise
that there is a shared vision of our mission here at St. Peter,
Apostle Rushden. This can be encompassed in the words:
| 'Love
God love one another' |
Whether
you are a parishioner, are a local member of another denomination
or none at all, or are viewing this site from another part of
the world, we hope that this site will provide you with some insight
into the vibrant life that revolves, in and around the Roman Catholic
Parish of St Peter, Apostle in Rushden. As members of the local
community we try to be involved in spreading the Word of God and
his teachings in many ways that are perhaps less obvious than
people often believe is the "norm" for the church.
For
more information click on the drop-down menu above which has been
designed for (we hope!) easy navigation of this site.
The
colour scheme of the site reflects that of the Diocesan Site to
emphasis that we are part of one body - the Roman Catholic Church
in the Diocese of Northampton.
If
you feel you would like to visit us please do - you will be very
welcome. If you want to discuss any aspect of the Catholic Faith,
then our Parish Priest Fr Joe Walsh will be pleased to arrange
a meeting.
Running
a Parish is no easy matter. We are subject to the same rules and
regulations as most businesses. We have to keep accounts and make
returns to the authorities; we have to comply with Health and
Safety Rules, just like every company in the country; parishioners
require help at various times, both physical and spiritual.
Many parishioners help in various ways to ensure the smooth running
of the Parish. Follow the links in the menu above to find out
how many groups and organisations are active here in St Peter's
Catholic Parish in Rushden and what we are up to. We have also
provided a selection (by no means comprehensive) of Links to some
Catholic Organisation and other web sites you may find useful.
Oh - and there's a laugh or two to be had here too!
If you are new to the Parish - or are a long-resident parishioner
that now has time on your hands - and would like to help in any
way, please let us know. New ideas and extra hands (and brain-cells!)
are always welcome. Use any of the contact methods shown on our
Contact Page.
